"The Painter's Children in the Japanese Room" table clock

Aluminium. 12 x 17 x 6 cm. Battery operated.

On the surface of this beautiful clock is reproduced a detail of the work that caused fascination from the very moment of its execution: The Painter's Children in the Japanese Room (1874), which Mariano Fortuny left unfinished at his death. The fragment shows María Luisa, the painter's eldest daughter, where we can appreciate the contrast between the fluid stains present in much of the work, which reach great beauty in the girl's fan.
