This film is produced on the occasion of the first monographic exhibition dedicated to Maíno by the Museo del Prado, in October 2009.
His painting is characterized by a vigorous and descriptive drawing and the sculptural monumentality of his figures, drawn with light contrast and intense color saturation. He worked in various formats and sizes, highlighting as a portraitist but also as a landscape painter, very close to the Flemish landscape painters.
Produced by the Museo del Prado, López-Li Films and esMADRIDtv
